Every now and then on these pages, we like to pay homage to the source of the solar power we discuss every day at The Phoenix Sun.
The movie above is made from still images of the sun taken from a stationary satellite over the course of six days, starting on June 27th 2005. What you’re seeing is just a little over one fourth of a solar day (one complete revolution takes 26.8 Earth days).
Enjoy the film.
