  1. What a great idea! I’m so glad I’ll be able to follow your progress. Its funny, I recently read that Oregon is one of the leaders in solar energy, which doesn’t doesn’t make a lot of sense to me either.
    I love that photo of you. I actually thought at first that it was you as a kid (not sure why, maybe cause its crazy). Be careful up there!

    • Hi, shill! It’s interesting that you mention how cloudy OR compares to sunny AZ. A Phoenix newspaper ran an article yesterday about why AZ lags behind OR in manufacturing solar technologies.

      Apparently, it gets down to government incentives (cost of labor, tax credits, infrastructure) and not merely sunny days. Which makes sense.

      “Just because it’s sunny doesn’t mean we are going to get solar companies here,” said Rep. Michele Reagan, a Scottsdale Republican who is co-sponsoring a renewable-energy manufacturing-incentive bill…

      But, maybe you were talking about USING solar power, which is what surprised me as well. I’ll post the numbers on that soon.
