Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords on ASU solar rooftop in October 2009
Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ), was shot today in Tucson, outside a Safeway grocery store. As of 1 PM local time Giffords is still in surgery, according to the Tucson University Medical Center where she was taken. Several other people are reported wounded or killed in the attack.
Our prayers are with Gabby, a strong solar power supporter, her family, and with the other victims of today’s tragedy.
A press conference is scheduled in the next hour.
