389.47 Reasons for going solar

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

There are plenty of motivations to switch from fossil fuels to solar power. Jobs. National security. Economics. Groovy technology.

I'm going back to school!

I'm leaving for Florida on May 28 to attend the 2009 Scripps Howard Institute on the Environment. It's a great opportunity to learn new skills from some of the top environmental writers and scientists in the states. I may not have the opportunity to file new stories until I return on June 7th, but hope to get in a few tweets on solar activities in the Sunshine State. The twitter feed below should automatically update itself. In case there's a glitch, you can sign up to follow thephoenixsun on twitter or simply search for that user name. Until June, feel free to pass the time by rereading stories here that you may have missed. There will be a short quiz when I return. Cheers, Osha Gray Davidson Editor, The Phoenix Sun
