Only a short time into her first term in the United States House of Representatives, Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ 8th District) had already earned a reputation as the “go-to” legislator if you wanted to know — or even better, wanted to do — something about solar power.
Re-elected to a second term, the Tucson native has solidified that reputation from her seat on the House Committee on Science and Technology (Giffords chairs the Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics), where this week she introduced what could become the most significant specifically solar legislation in years.
